Russel Wright Spun Aluminum Bun Warmer

Russel Wright started his design career in the 1930s, manufacturing spun aluminum table and decorative wares in a converted stable in New York City. The items he designed and produced rode the line between Art Deco and Modernism. Wright was one of the first Americans to embrace what was known at the time as "Art Moderne" and which was later called International Modern.

This is the most common item seen in Wright's aluminum ware, spherical-form bun warmer with rattan bail handle.

The warmer is 10" across the handle, 10.5" tall, and 8.5" in diameter at the middle.

Condition: Lacking the interior basket (which is almost always missing(, light surface wear. Moderate wear to bottom. Spot of rubbing on the side of the foot where it contacts with the rim of the lid when open.

Mark: RUSSEL WRIGHT stamped mark on bottom.
