Fostoria #2400 Wisteria Centerpiece Bowl
A great Art Deco/Modern bowl by Fostoria glass, this is a #2400 centerpiece bowl. It is flared at the rim and sits on four feet. This example is in Wisteria, which was Fostoria's name for their Alexandrite (Neodymium or dichromatic) glass, which changes color from pink to purple depending on what type of light (incandescent or fluorescent) it is viewed in. Fostoria produced this color for a brief period in the 1930s.

The bowl is 10.75" in diameter and 4" tall.
Condition: Moderate wear from use to interior. Wear to tips of four feet, and one foot has a very shallow 0.125" diameter flake chip on the bottom of the foot which can only be seen when the bowl is inverted.
Condition is reflected in the price.
