A fine, large and unusual tea canister or caddy in light blue Jasperware by Wedgewood. It is decorated in white relief consisting of dancing women with garlands and large decorative elements, with five figures and five brackets.
It was manufactured for Harrod's department store in London. We had another example of this canister with a Fortum & Mason paper label on the bottom, so it's possible that Fortum supplied the tea and package was sold by Harrod's, or they may have been supplied by Wedgwood to both companies.
It is 8.875" tall and 3.75" in diameter.
Condition: as new, no wear or damage.
Mark: impressed Wedgwood marks, dated 1972, black printed Harrod's mark.
