Designed by Niels Refsgaard for Dansk Designs, Generation was introduced in 1972 and made in Denmark. The dinnerware line combined modern forms with stylized traditional elements, which made it exceedingly popular, marking the transition from mainline Modernism into Postmodernism. It is in high-fired stoneware with a speckled, creamy beige glaze highlighted with earth-brown rims.
This is the cream and sugar set in this pattern. The creamer is lidded and lighthouse-shaped. The sugar bowl is wide and flat.
The creamer is 4" tall and 5.5" from handle to spout. The sugar is 6.5" across and 3" tall.
Condition: 0.125" glaze flake chip to the interior edge of the handle on the sugar, otherwise fine.
