An excellent Modern piece from the Chase Brass company, this is a double jam pot known as "Marmalade and Jam Globes". it's Chase catalog number 90068, and was offered between 1936 and 1939. it's an excellent example of the pieces they made in the 1930s which begin to cross from Art Deco into Moderne in terms of style.
It consists of a metal holder, in this case in polished chrome, containing two frosted glass spherical containers with metal lids. This example retains one of the two milk glass spoons which would have originally come with it.
It's 6.5" wide. 3.25" deep and 4.5" tall.
Condition: there's some rubbing to the finish on the handle where the jars slide in and out, but this can only be seen with the glass parts removed. Otherwise fine.
Mark: Chase centaur mark in the center of the bottom of the base.
