Wedgwood Reverse Jasper Ware Garland Plate

A large Wedgewood plate in Jasperware. This color treatment is known as "reverse" and consists of a solid white Jasper body with light blue sprigged relief. This treatment was only manufactured for a brief period in about 1979 and 1980.

We have two of these plate: both are decorated with garlands, six scenes of putti playing. One plate has a central image of, Cupid Sharpening His Arrows, the other an image of Cupid Stringing His Bow. One faces right and one faces left, so they'd make an excellent pendant pair together.

The plate is 8.875" in diameter.

Condition: as new, no wear or damage.

Mark: impressed Wedgwood marks on bottom.

Price is per plate.
