A great pair of vintage Kosta crystal paperweight figures. They were known as the Family Series and were designed by Ann and Groan Warff, with one member of the family issued each year. I'm not sure how long the series lasted, but I believe I've seen, in addition to the father and mother, two children and a dog.
"Mother 1970" (Mor) figure was issued first. She's a cylindrical shape, with a rounded top, her face indicated with an incised oval. Details are applied in gold and the date is etched near the base.
The "Father 1971" (Far) was issued the next year. Also cylindrical, he wears a top hat, with gilt applied details and an etched date.
Mother is 4.5" tall and 2.375" in diameter. Father is 6.25" tall and 2.125" in diameter.
Condition: as new, no wear or damage.
Mark: both have plastic Kosta labels. They are also hand-marked on their based "Kosta Mor 1970" and "Kosta Far 1971".
