A set of 12 dessert or salad plates made by the Royal Worcester porcelain works for Tiffany & Co. the plates are in an off-white porcelain body decorated with a powder blue border. In the center is a printed decoration of Asiatic pheasants highlighted with hand-painted enamel colors. There are gilt bands at both edges of the blue border and a chain of circles just in from the outer rim.
Nine of the plates are dated 1913. The other three are dated 1917, which suggest they may have been contemporary replacements.
The plates are 8" in diameter.
Condition: light wear to the gold on the rim, moderate wear to inner gold band, not from use but from stacking (the unglazed foot ring falls right onto the gilt band). Some scattered light wear to the area around the central decoration. Otherwise fine.
Mark: nine marked with the blue Worcester mark and dated 1913 (ten dots), three marked in red and dated 1917 (a star with one dot). Hand-painted pattern code, C194.
