American Modern, manufactured by the Steubenville Pottery of Ohio and introduced in 1938 was Russel Wright's first triumph in remaking American dinnerware for the way people actually lived and ate. It was a landmark in modern design, and all the dinnerware lines which followed it owe something to it.
These are the dinner plates in this pattern in Coral pink.
They're 10" in diameter.
Condition: one or two plates have light scuff marks on the surface (probably caused by one plate being dragged across another) otherwise fine. no utensil marks or crazing.
Mark: impressed Russel Wright by Steubenville mark on the backs.
We have eleven plates. Price is per plate.
