Wedgwood Green Florentine Dinner Plates - Set of Six

A fine set of Wedgewood bone china dinner plates in the Florentine pattern, which is derived from ancient Roman grotesques. Florentine has been Wedgwood's most popular bone china dinnerware pattern for most of the past century, and it is offered in several colors, all of which are hand-applied.

These plates are in a beautiful emerald green with highlights in black, with the floral transfer decoration in the center. They are Wedgwood stock number W1232.

They are 10.5" in diameter.

Condition: light wear from use , light stacking wear occasionally causing a nick in the inner black border. The wear can only be seen under close examination in raking light. Otherwise fine.

Marked on the back with the Wedgwood Portland Vase mark and the stock number, I'd date these plates to the middle of the 20th century.
