Large Wedgwood #6 Cobalt Blue Upright Dip Jasper Ware Jug
A very large Wedgwood water pitcher in cobalt blue dip Jasperware. This is an "Upright" shape jug with a rope handle, which Wedgewood produced in many different sizes. This is probably the largest size made (it is certainly the largest size I've seen).
The pitcher is 8.25" tall and 6.25" from handle to spout.
Decorated with white relief in the Sacrifice Figures design.
Condition: no wear or damage.
Marked WEDGWOOD and ENGLAND on the bottom, which dates this jug to 1891-1910. It is also marked with a 6, which indicates the size (the smaller the number, the larger the pitcher).
