A set of six fine Royal Worcester porcelain dinner plates manufactured for and retailed by Bailey Banks & Biddle, the great Philadelphia jeweler.
The plates, in white porcelain, feature a broad granulated blue border surrounded by a trailing vine border hand-enameled in blue, green and rust red.
The marks printed on the back include a British Registry Number (651,926) which dates the registration of the pattern to 1915. Then there's the BB&B unicorn and garter mark, and finally the Worcester mark with the date code, in this case, a star with six dots, which makes the year of manufacture 1922.
The plates are 9" in diameter.
Condition: three of the plates are crazed; three are not. All have extremely minor utensil marks, maybe a half-dozen very short (0.125" long or less) marks per plates, which can only be seen under close examination in raking light.
Price is for the set of six.
