A great Fry casserole in a metal holder. It is there #1932 as found on page 137 in "The Collectors Encyclopedia of Fry Glassware" by H. C. Fry Glass Society. It is in Ovenglass, the trade name for their kitchenware line in Foval.
It has a lovely opalescent. The metal holder is great looking and in great shape. The lid is marked "FRY" in block letters on one of the small ends and 1392-9-D on the other.
The holder measures 11 inches from handle to handle and stands 3.625 inches high.
The holder has four feet. The condition is good. There are a few spots four small spots of rust or pitting. There are a few scratches.
The holder has a pierced design of interlocking circles and squares. A small one at the top and a larger one towards the bottom.
A really great casserole for your great casserole recipe. It would look great on any table.
The casserole bottom is 9.5 by 7 inches across the top and 7 by 4.5 inches across the bottom and 3.75 inches high. The lid fits on a ridge which is .375 inches down from the top.
The condition is like new. There are no cracks, chips, or starches in either the bottom or the top. There are a couple of small manufacturing defects and some bubbles.
