EARLY HOLIDAY SALE
This is a gorgeous example of an early 1900 large hand painted Floral Tray freshly found in the rural Chicago land area. The Artist, Sherratt, who had his own studio in the Washington DC area, was a well known and accomplished Artist in and about the turn of the 20th century.
This beauty measures a large 15-5/8" long and 7-1/2" wide. It has been wonderfully decorated with large vibrant Pink & White "Wild Daisies" on stem and leaf against a soft background of creme yellow, creme powder blue, and creme lavender. The tray displays 2 large raised gold gilded handles along with a heavy gold outer rim.
The Tray is in excellent condition and is totally without damage.
The combination of the wonderful pastel colors gives tremendous appeal to the tray. The tray is marked on the back..."Made in Czecholslovakia" and signed in gold by the Artist "Sherratt's".
