This is a fine example of a very early 1900's unmarked hand painted 3-Handled Limoges Jardinere, found in the Chicago area and most likely decorated at one of the Chicago Decorating Studios from the early part of the last century. This incredible beauty measures 6-1/8" tall and 9" wide from outer handle to outer handle. The unusual piece displays large life like "Blackberries" on stem and leaf on all 3 sides. The 3 handles are rich in colors with a deep red/purple and forest green on two handles with a reddish brown and forest green on the third handle. Note the heavy gold top with hundreds of minute little gold beads. The body background colors totally compliment this piece with it rich shades of lavender, creme yellow, and various shades of green. The piece is without damage...no nicks, chips, or cracks....no repairs..with only typical top rim wear. The side beaded gold is in very good condition. The piece has been signed by the Artist, "S.E.". This gem will make an excellent addition just about anywhere in the house and will be an eye grabber with its unique colors and fancy 3-handle mold.
