RARE HP 1900 "Lion" Portrait 7" Vase by J.H. Stouffer Co. "Wenzel Pfohl"

This beauty was decorated and signed by J.H. Stouffer Co. Artist, "Wenzel Pfohl".

The well done Lion has an unusual look about him. The Vase was totally decorated from end to end and shows the lion in a grassland and jungle setting. A heavy wide band of gold covers the top of the Vase.

The Vase is in very good condition with just a few very minor and insignificant surface scratches near the side base. For more information about "Wenzel Pfohl", look at Reed's Pickard Collectors Book and specifically the large section about the J.H. Stouffer Co.

The Vase was decorated on a European blank, most like Bavarian or Limoges. This is an outstanding and exceptional rare piece and will make a nice addition for your Pickard or hand painted collection.
