Adolph Heidrich was an outstanding 19th century listed Chicago China Decorator. Alan Reed, the author of the Pickard China Collectors Book, believed that Heidrich possibly decorated for the Chicago Pickard Decorating Studio in and about 1903--1910. Heidrich was well known for his animal and monk pieces including Dogs, Deer, Elk, Moose, and Lions. Few people are aware that Heidrich also produced outstanding Nude décor creations. Heidrich's career also included decorating for both the Edward Donath Studio & the D'Arcy Studio of Kalamazoo, MI. in the early years of the 20th Century prior to opening his own Chicago Decorating Studio, which ran from 1915-1922. Some of Heidrich's outstanding works can be seen on P. 258 and 259 of Reed's Pickard Collectors Book.
