Wonderfully decorated is this vintage 1870-85 Dresden circa hand painted double scenic Cobalt Tea Pot.
The superb Tea Pot measures 6" tall & 7" wide from outer handle to outer spout. The Tea Pot displays twin hand painted "Battlefield" scenes. On one side are two horsemen...one swinging a sword and the other firing a Pistol. The opposite side also shows two horsemen....one firing a Pistol...and other horseman blowing a battle horn. Each of the hand painted scenes have tremendous detail. [Please look at the photos] The twin scenes are set against an all cobalt and heavy stenciled gilded gold background. The added gold on the spout, finial, and handles gives the stunning Tea Pot a rich and attractive appearance.
The Tea Pot is in very good condition and totally damage free of nicks, chips, cracks, or other damage. The gold is exceptional throughout with slight wear on the handle and the inner rim. The rest of the gold is near pristine.
The stunning look hand painted Scenic Tea Pot displays an early "Dresden" mark.
The Tea Pot is exceptional in its decor and condition and will make a superb addition for your collection.
