Outstanding & Vibrant T & V Limoges France 1910 Hand Painted "Forget Me Not" 5-7/8" Plaque by the Listed Pickard Artist, "Edward Mentges"

This brilliantly decorated vintage T & V Limoges France hand painted Floral Plaque was decorated by the Pickard Artist "Edward Mentges". (Please see Reed's Pickard Collectors Book for bio). Mentges is known for his outstanding forget me not and poppy renderings and worked for Pickard from 1905-1912, then ran his own Chicago Studio from 1914--1920.

This superb hand painted Plaque measures 5-7/8" wide and displays vibrant and life like "Forget Me Not" on stem and leaf against a soft background of light creme yellow and heavy gilded decorated gold. The artwork, colors, and presentation is that of a master.

The Floral Plaque is in excellent condition and totally damage free of chips, cracks, or other damage with the heavy gold being better than excellent.

The Plaque displays the early "T & V Limoges France" mark...and has been initialed "Ed." [Please note, like many artist, Mentges signature is like a scrawl and often difficult to decipher. This Plaque is part of a partial "Edward Mentges" lunch set...where other pieces shows his signature more clearly.]

The beautiful and vibrant Forget Me Not Plaque is perfect for a vanity, bath, dresser, small table, or counter.
