Professionally decorated with great colors is this vintage 1900's hand painted Bavaria Floral Plate.
The beautiful Plate, which measures 8-1/4" wide, has been superbly decorated with life-like and extremely well done "Violets" on stem and leaf against soft background colors soft creme, creme green, and creme brown. Wonderfully imposed shadow leafing adds to the depth and beauty of the Plate. A heavy gilded gold rim adds to the beauty of the Plate.
The Plate is in excellent condition and totally damage free.
The Plate is marked "J & C Bavaria" and signed "H.M." I suspect, since the Plate came out of the Chicago area that it was decorated by Henry Marmorstein, who operated the Marmorstein's Art Decorating Studio in Chicago from 1909--1931.
