Gold tone Scarab bracelet with white and cobalt blue enamel, hinged bangle. This is quite a large piece, meant to be a stand out, statement piece. It was probably made in Egypt for the tourist market. It could be 1960's. The largest scarab on the front really stands out in high relief. It is deep cobalt blue, no enamel loss. There are stylized white enamel lotus flowers on the sides and two more scarabs. The clasp is a screw pin that slides in and is then turned several times to secure it through the wound cylinder pieces. The clasp is the clue that it was not made in the USA or Europe. It is a large bracelet and will fit any wrist. It is 2 inches at the widest and 2 & 3/8" by 2 & 1/2" across the middle. It is in excellent condition. This is not a revival piece, this is Egyptian, from Egypt and it's what they do, bold jewelry with scarabs, fit for the arm of Cleopatra. So dramatic, so costume.
