1956 The Mountain Paramount Theater Showmanship Manual, Spencer Tracy

The Mountain movie debuted in 1956 and co-starred a young Robert Wagner and Claire Trevor. The story has Spencer Tracy and Robert Wagner climbing The Mountain where a plane has crashed on the mountains top. Robert Wagner persuades Spencer Tracy to climb the mountain to collect gold which was to have been on board the plane. But they find a passenger alive who needs to be brought down the mountain, but Robert Wager would rather see her dead because he was more interested in plundering the cash and valuables from the crash victims.

The front cover has a great illustration showing Spencer Tracy and Robert Wagner climbing The Mountain. Inside the theater manual are over 40 different size advertisements and two pages of written reviews of the movie that theaters, radio stations, and newspapers could choose from to promote the movie. There are 15 pages in this manual and it measures 12 ¼" wide x 15" long.

**Condition: The front and back covers are in fair+ condition, very clean and bright. The inside pages are in good+ condition, very clean and bright. *Covers: There is tape holding the front and back covers together, chipping along all the outer edges of the front and back covers, a crease mark across the front cover, a crease mark across the back cover, tiny crease marks at the top and bottom right front corners and at the top left back corner, and a few smaller crease marks along the spine on the front and back covers. *Inside pages: There is tape holding the front cover to the inside pages at the first inside pages; all the inside pages are together with original staples that have rust spots around them, and minor chipping along the top edge of the last inside page.

Spencer Tracy was nominated for nine Academy Awards for best Actor winning back to back awards. Only Tom Hanks and Spencer Tracy have ever won consecutive Best Actor Awards.
