This wonderful children's book, Little Pictures of Japan, My Travelship, is a First Edition, edited by Olive Beaupre Miller with pictures by Katherine Sturges and copyrighted 1925 by The Book House For Children, Chicago, IL.
This beautiful book has 191 pages and measures 8¼" wide x 11¼" long x 1" thick. The letters on the front cover are gold embossed. The large circle is embossed in gold and the inner circle has a Japanese child with a fawn and bird—this is just stunning! "The tiny poems are gems of only three lines comprising no more than seventeen syllables—these are the tiniest poems in the world." The poems are so tiny that a child can easily understand them. The artwork is not only fascinating, it is so beautiful.
"This collection has been made after careful study of the works of Basil Hall Chamberlain, Lafcadio Hearn, Curtis Page, Yone Noguchi, Arthur Waley, and Clara Walsh. The poems marked with a star are quoted directly from "A Year of Japanese Epigrams" by William N. Porter, and are used with the kind permission of the Oxford University Press."

The inside pages are in good condition, clean and bright. **Covers: There is light wear to the inner circle(cream color), a very light scratch and two dots on the front cover, wear to the top and bottom of the spine, bumps at the top and bottom right front corners; There is two light scratches on the back cover, and bumps to the top and bottom left back corners. *Inside pages: There is a name written in light pencil very neatly on the first inside page, There is a ¼" tear along the bottom edge of Page 7, a small amount of staining along the bottom edge of Page 15, and a 1½" tear along the right edge and a ¾" tear along the bottom edge of Page 63.
