Vintage dress clip that is carved or molded apple juice Bakelite with a green marbled Bakelite cabochon set in gold-tone metal. This is accented with stamped gilt brass flowers and leaves...very DIFFERENT! It measures 1 7/8" and is unsigned and in excellent vintage condition...clip mechanism in good working order...MUCH PRETTIER than the pictures. I believe it dates to the 1930-40's. Vintage dress clips are becoming increasingly popular. They are such a versatile and affordable fashion accessory. Dating to the Art Deco era, they look fabulous on a blouse or dress and wonderful on a blazer or coat. Many use them to accent a purse, pocket, lapel, belt or hat...even boots! Use your imagination...you can clip them just about anywhere! This tested positive for Bakelite using Simichrome.
