This lovely French picture is intricately hand stitched with silk threads. The portrait is that of a French Peasant. He wears a vest and brown cap. Fantastic intricate detail with each fine thread woven to facial features. It is hard to capture the intricacy of the fine details. The silk portrait measures 4" by 5 1/2" long. It is set into a gold gilt wooden frame 10" by 12" long.3" deep. Some wear on the frame with tiny corner pieces missing and age grime. Displays nicely. Mounted fabric on board Great piece of art, for the person who loves original one of a kind pieces
