Gorgeous water colour sketch of a beauty with two Russian Wolf Hounds. The painting is composed in pastels. She sits praising her dogs in a floral garden setting by a pillar of roses and blue hydrangea bushes. Painting sets in an oval display. Painting is in very good condition with a tiny small puncture in the upper left corner just by the top of the pillar. The paper of the painting and the matt has age toning, but displays lovely none the less. Aged look adds to the ambiance of the piece. Signed in the lower right corner R Eckart. Painting in the oval measures.approx 20 1/2" wide by 17 1/2" tall Overall matt and painting measures 27" wide by 23" wide with a 1" gold gilt wooden frame. Painting is protected by glass. A very lovely painting.
