English Water Colour Study Of Woman In Gesso Frame c19th

Lovely water colour portrait of a woman in Victorian black dress and lace head attire. She sits poised to the viewer in a chair. This could possibly be a portrait of Queen Victoria. It does bear a resemblance. The detail is articulately composed on paper. The matting is new as it accents the portrait. The rest is original. The gilt frame is in very good condition there is one small hole in the frame on the right lower side. Not devastating. The portrait is in very good condition with some yellowing of the paper and some lines from a previous matt. Measures total size in frame 26" tall by 22" wide. The portrait is 20" tall by 15" wide
