Original Portrait Young Boy With Bible American Artist c19th
This is an extremely old portrait of a young blonde boy in Sunday clothes, reading his bible. He appears to be dressed in a brown velvet jacket with a white cotton shirt with lace ascot and cuffs. The blue eyed darling seems to be pre occupied with other thoughts.
The painting is composed on a parchment type paper that has definitely browned with age. The painting has not been removed from its original oak frame. The writing on the paper is faded and I cannot capture it on photo.
Painting measures 17" wide by 20" long 2" frame. Frame is quite old with age grime and wear.
