Vintage Nautical Painting Ship on High Sea

Vintage painting rendered on canvas of s ship being viewed from a cave opening. Stone cavern creates a scene viewing the ship not far in the distance. Unique composition from the artists view.White capped waters hit against the rocks giving a very life like feel to the painting. High mast laid to rest while ship nears shore. Painting is in very good condition , but could use a cleaning. Measures painting 20 1/4" by 17 1/2". Mounted in a wooden gilt vintage frame 25" wide by 21 1/2". Signed in the lower left corner in white illegibly. c1920
