Here is a wonderful oversized vintage wall calendar from the Lancaster, Pa. area...1959. The calendar is entitiled "Sleepy Time Gal" by famed photographer Vivienne Lapham who is famous for her national advertising billboards and magazine covers. This is an ektachrome calendar by the Gerlach-Barklow Co. The calendar measures about 44" long and 21 1/2" across...yes, 44" long! A wonderful large calendar such as this would have hung on a wall to advertise the John G. Stumpf Co. on Union Street in Lancaster. This company was well known in the area...even having a ballfield nearby named Stumpf Field...I remember going there as a kid to see lots of baseball games!. You will love this sweet little girl all ready for bed with her precious teddy...but oh how she longs to stay up just a little bit longer! The calendar is complete with all the months present. It has been stored rolled up for years but would look great framed or hanging up on your wall. Some tiny edge tears along the sides...a few 1" or less tears or chips and also 1 tear near top side that is about 3" long...all the longer ones can be repaired easily with archivial tape. None of these detract from the overall desirability of this fine old calendar. You don't find many like this anymore!!
