Unusual Antique Tin Tole Painted Spice Box

This wonderful old spice box would have been used in years past to keep your most treasured spices. The box is about 9 1/2" long, 6" across and 4" tall plus the handle. The bottom is rectagular and has 6 equal spaces in which to put your spices, The top of the box has 2 sections and is sloped downward. The black background lays host to gold lettering and adds to the toleware look. Flaws include some paint loss on the box as seen in the photos plus there is a 1" v shaped gash in one of the bins on the bottom. However, this is an early box and sure to draw attention amongst a collection!
