Johnson Bros Historic America "Joke" Cup & Saucer Red/Pink Transfer

This is a nice Johnson Brothers Historic America cup and saucer in the size referred to as the "joke cup." It's the middle size of the extra-large sizes they made, and holds about 14 oz when filled right to the top. The saucer is 7" in diameter and the cup is 4 1/2" in diameter not including the handle. As detailed in the marking on the bottom of the saucer, the view on the cup is of "Central Park N.Y" and the view on the saucer is of "Mt. Shasta." The cup is marked only with an incised "made in England." Very good condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing. A well known replacement firm wants $53.99 for just the cup.
