Fostoria Diadem Art Deco Black Candy Jar W/Crown Gold Decoration

This is a Fostoria Diadem Ebony candy jar with their #504 Crown Decoration, which is a hard to find gold-colored trim used on this piece only from 1930 to 1932. There is some significant wear to the gold on the edge of the lid, and the gold on the finial has been removed entirely, without a trace. The gold on the edge of the lid is only about 60% intact. On the base, there is some wear to the gold on some of the points. The gold at the base would be 90+ percent intact. Book value on this piece with the gold-colored decoration is around $125, so I have discounted significantly for the worn gold. It's still a very presentable piece. The glass itself is very nice with no chips, nicks, or cracks. This jar was designed to hold 1/2 pound of candy, and is 5 1/4" in diameter and 5 1/2" high to the top of the finial.
