This is the top/head only for a Shawnee Lucky Elephant cookie jar. It's in very good condition, with no chips or cracks. There are a couple of tiny "pings" to glaze only on the trunk, that resulted in small (less than 1/8") brownish spots. There is noticeable wear to the gold colored trim, especially on the bow tie. The gold at the bow tie is about 70% intact. Some other slight wear to the gold, i.e. at the edge of the ears. This is 6 1/4" tall and 5 1/2" wide. The flat part of the bottom is 4 3/4" front to back, and 4 1/2" side to side. The outer diameter of the "ring' that would fit down into the base is 3 1/2" front to back and 3 1/4" side to side. There are a few short lines of crazing on the outside of that ring. It probably left the factory that way, due to the thick glaze in that area. This piece isn't like new, but it is a useable and presentable top for a hard to find jar.
