What a beautiful piece of workmanship this piece is. There's nothing like the color of a Ceylon sapphire, and this one is surrounded by mine cut diamond. The diamonds are set in silver, and the piece is backed with gold. I think the chain is a 20's addition. It isn't new, but I'm sure it isn't original, though it is very similar in style and weight to what the original one would have been. There are nineteen diamonds, which vary from 1MM to 2.2MM. The sapphire in the center is a little larger than the largest diamond. This piece is on a 15 inch chain, and the pendant itself measures 1 inch and 1/4 North to South and 2 and 1/4 inches East to West, if the piece is stretched out in a horizontal fashion. There is no damage to this classy , circa 1900, piece.
