This is an intereting item that I picked up some time ago in England, and actually forgot about. It's a knife, and it has a tartan handle, though the handle is not wood, but some sort of celluloid covering the metal, I think it is circa 1920, and the blade is marked, "Richlands, Sheffield, England." When the blade is extended, the knife measures is 7 inches long. I bought it because I sell tartan items and, while I've seen wooden handled tartan knives with ivory blades, I've never seen a tartan knife with a "real" useable blade.
