This is a delightful large chop plate or platter made by the Crooksville China Company which opened in 1902 and closed in 1959. The platter is marked Iva-lure by Crooksville USA followed by 1-T. The pattern name is Dairy Maid which resembles a Pennsylvania Dutch design. It has brightly colored flowers and leaves with a man and woman in colonial dress in the center of the platter. The woman is churning butter. There is a large heart underneath the couple. The berry bowls only show the man with the heart surrounded by flowers. The colors are red, blue, green, and yellow with black details. No chips or cracks. There are a few light usage marks visible when titled under bright light. The platter is not quite round and has a gold trim on the rim which has about 50% worn off. Still a neat old platter with a bright design. It measures about 12" in diameter.
