In 1986-1988, the Franklin Mint issued a series of cat figurines for the Curio Cabinet Cats Collection. Each cat was produced from a different material, in different countries, and reflected various art forms popular through the ages.
This interesting hand painted cat is made of chalkware (plaster of Paris), a process which originated in Europe. This piece still has the paper label of the Franklin Mint and a label stating it was made in Korea. The cat measures about 3.5" long and about 2" high. It is in excellent condition. No paperwork.
