Jonathan & David 'Praise the Lord Anyhow' Boy and Dog

This sweet porcelain figurine is of an exasperated young boy and his dog that is lapping up the ice cream he dropped. The figurine is marked Jonathan & David, "Praise the Lord Anyhow", copyright 1976, Jonathan & David, Lic. Enesco Imports. This piece is one of the original 21 figurines that Enesco issued in 1979. It was retired in 1982.

Jonathan & David was the original company name when Enesco bought the rights from Sam Butcher and Bill Biel (Jonathan & David) to produce their greeting card art in three dimensional form. The line later became known as Precious Moments.

This figurine measures about 5.25" tall, and is 2.25" across the base and 3.5" long. There is no incised mark nor model number, but the model number is E-1374/B. No damage, no box.

I purchased a number of Precious Moments figurines at an estate auction, so I am passing on the savings to you.
