Silverplate Souvenir Spoon with Enamel Hearst Castle Shield

This pretty little silverplate souvenir spoon commemorating Hearst Castle, a National Historic Landmark, is engraved Klepa Art Germany on the back of the handle. The handle has a shield with an enameled depiction of Hearst Castle, the mansion of newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst. Hearst died in 1951 just 4 years after the mansion was finished. It was donated to the State of California, which opens it to the public as a state park. The spoon has wonderful detailing and a pretty scalloped bowl with repousse roses. The spoon measures 4.75" long. Needs a little polishing.
