Georges Briard Enamel Pyrex Ice Bucket

Georges Briard was the name used by Polish born artist, Jascha Brojdo, for his commercial art pieces. His designs were extremely popular in the 1950's and 1960's. This terrific retro or vintage ice bucket has an enamelled 2 qt Pyrex glass bucket with a tiled gold tone lid and stand. I have not been able to locate the pattern name of the leaf design on the lid. The stylized leaves are painted in gold, yellow, brown, white and black. The Georges Briard signature is on the lid. The bottom of the bucket has a piece of felt attached to protect surfaces. There is some wear around the rim of the bucket where the lid sits, and some discoloration of the gold tone metal of the lid and stand. The white enamel exterior has a grainy matte finish. The piece measures about 7.5" tall from finial to base of stand. What a great vintage piece to add to your retro or mid century modern bar or kitchen.
