Estee Lauder Marvelous Melon Solid Perfume Compact

This neat little solid perfume compact, designed to resemble a watermelon wedge, is called Marvelous Melon. It was produced By Estee Lauder in 1996 and 1997, according to Roselyn Gerson's The Estee Lauder Solid Perfume Compact Collection 1967 To 2001. It is still full of White Linen perfume, although there is slight shrinkage and pulling away from the edge due to age. It still smells wonderful, however. The compact has red enameling with black enameled "seeds" on both sides. The bottom has green enameling for the rind and still contains the foil label. The edge of the piece is done in gold tone metal with two red faceted crystals adorning the clasp. The compact comes with its original gold tone presentation box and black velvet pouch. The box is structurally sound but does have some scratch marks on the foil covering. No tears or stains. Charming piece for the perfume collector.
