Here's a large wooden cheese or serving board with a beautiful large trivet tile signed Georges Briard. Briard was the name used by Russian born artist, Jascha Brojdo, for his commercial art pieces. His items were manufactured in the 1950's and 60's for sale in fine department stores. They have enjoyed renewed popularity with collectors of vintage or retro kitchen and barware.
The set also includes two knives with stainless steel blades and wooden handles, and a dark brown pottery condiment cup. The set has been used but is in very good condition. The board measures 12" square. The tile is 6" square.
