Franklin Mint Valencia Curio Cat

In 1986-1988, the Franklin Mint issued a series of cat figurines for the Curio Cabinet Cats Collection. Each cat was produced from a different material, in different countries, and reflected various art forms popular through the ages.

This slender Siamese cat is made of lustered tin glazed earthenware, a process which originated in Valencia, Spain during the 15th century and known today as Hispano-Moresque. This piece is stamped with The Franklin Mint logo. The cat measures about 3.75" high. No paperwork. No damage.
