Georges Briard Cheese Trivet and Knife

Here's a vintage cheese trivet and knife signed Georges Briard. Briard was the name used by Polish born artist, Jascha Brojdo, for his commercial art pieces. This particular pattern is called Persian Garden, and was manufactured in the 1950's and 60's.

This set comes in its original box which has slight staining on the interior. There are a couple of small scratches on the surface of the ceramic trivet, nothing significant. The trivet has a cork underside which has a small slit in it. A gold tone metal chain attaches the knife to the trivet. The trivet measures 6" in diameter. The knife is 6.25" long with a stainless steel blade. A beautiful set to add to your Briard collection. I also am listing a matching platter.
