Richard Hudnut Engine Turned Silvertone Powder Compact

This neat vintage powder compact has an engine turned plaid design etched on both sides. The compact has been used and has numerous light usage marks. The inside of the rim around the mirror is engraved Richard Hudnut at the top and New York Paris Made in USA on the bottom. Hudnut was a popular compact and cosmetic company during the 1920's and 30's. The mirror is intact but has a bit of clouding. The thick powder puff fits snuggly but is unmarked, so I am not sure if it is original to the compact. Measures about 2.5" in diameter. Could use a little cleaning. A nice vintage compact for the collector.
