This beautiful gold tone filigreed solid perfume compact was produced by Estee Lauder in 1973. It is a copy of a George III patch box with the portrait of a woman in the center, according to The Estee Lauder Solid Perfume Compact Collection 1967-2001 by Roselyn Gerson. The compact is in wonderful condition and still full of the Estee fragrance. The perfume is slightly used and has darkened and pulled away from the edges slightly due to aging. It still smells wonderful! The bottom of the piece has a clear label which was difficult to photograph. It states Estee Lauder Dist, NY, NY 10025 Made in USA around the perimeter. In the center, the label states Estee Solid Super Perfume Net Wt 0.18 OZ. The word Estee is embossed on the interior of the lid. Just a wonderful vintage piece for the perfume collector.
