Schmid Sister Berta Hummel Heavenly Trio Christmas 1978 Plate

This charming Christmas plate of three sweet little angels was based on an original woodblock design by Sister Berta Hummel in 1928. Schmid was commissioned to produce the design in a collector plate by the late artist's mother, Mrs. Virginia Hummel. It is the eighth plate in the series and was issued in 1978. The plate is 7.75" in diameter and comes nestled in its blue Schmid box. The box has some slight wear with one area on the edge where a price tag was apparently removed and took some of the blue paper covering with it. The plate is in excellent condition with no damage. There are two holes formed on the back to place a hanger. No paperwork.
