This gorgeous three dimensional solid ivory alabaster collector plate of a scene from Verdi's opera Rigoletto was hand crafted at the Studio Dante di Volteradici in Tuscany, Italy, in 1976 by the Master Gino Ruggeri under the auspices of Museo Teatrale alla Scala. The front of the plate bears the artist's signature as well as the studio's name and the year done in Roman numerals. The metal plate on the underside is inscribed with the plate number AF 3654. The 8.5" plate is in excellent condition. A pamphlet written in English describes the opera, and has a brief history of the Studio and sculptor. It comes in its original shipping box which is sturdy but worn. Included is the Certificate of Authenticity typed in Italian and signed on one side, with a typed English version on the other side. Included is a patron's ticket to The Museum of La Scala in Milan, Italy good during the 200th anniversary ending December 31, 1978. This plate, as opposed to the other four I have listed, has some dark rusty colored areas in the pattern which I assume were intentional and part of the production.
