Ivory Alabaster Limited Edition Collector Plate of Aida

This gorgeous three dimensional solid ivory alabaster collector plate of a scene from Verdi's opera Aida was hand crafted at the Studio Dante di Volteradici in Tuscany, Italy, in 1979 by the Master Gino Ruggeri under the auspices of Museo Teatrale alla Scala. The front of the plate bears the artist's signature as well as the studio's name and the year done in Roman numerals. The metal plate with the plate number AA 4204 on the underside needs re-gluing. The 8.5" plate is in excellent condition. A pamphlet written in English describes the opera, and has a brief history of the Studio and sculptor. It comes in its original shipping box which is sturdy but worn. Included is the Certificate of Authenticity typed in Italian and signed on one side, with a typed English version on the other side.
